Frequently Asked Questions
Couple things to keep in mind when browsing and choosing a backdrop: length and width can play a big part in what can be done with a backdrop. You will see an option for "no floor" versus "floor"; the difference is explained in detail with examples here. Essentially, a tall backdrop will have a "floor" that the subject can stand on, which helps immerse the subject into the backdrop's environment and gives a sense of depth. This also lets you use props and different angles/lighting than what is possible with a "no floor" backdrop.
Question: How can I make my subject(s) look like they're on the beach instead of in my studio?
Answer: It all comes down to lighting! The more you can do before you get to post production, the better. Before a shoot, take a lot of test photos and find the lighting settings that get as close to matching your backdrop as possible. Sometimes creating a blurry background to emphasize your subject can help mask slight issues in lighting differences, and most lighting differences can be fixed in post production. Some other things to think about would be adding sand for increased reality, props like beach chairs/umbrellas/towels, and proper attire (swimsuits, Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, etc.).
Question: I love your image catalog, but I'd like to change one of your images. Is that something that you can do for me?
Answer:Contact us and we'll see what we can do! If you would like us to do some custom work on an existing image, email us with your request and we'll let you know. Include any images you'd like us to add to the backdrop or what you would like the image to look like. Depending on how much work needs to be done, a small fee may be charged if the editing is extensive. We ask that you give us as much time as possible to ensure that you're getting exactly what you're looking for.
Question: I have a picture that I'd like to turn into a backdrop. How do I do that?
